Frequently Asked Questions

How does an appointment work?

When you book an appointment you are given 1 to 1 service, the boutique is closed and you have complete privacy

How long does an appointment last?

You will be allocated an hour and a half for a bridal appointment and one hour for a bridesmaid appointment. If you want to try on both bridal and bridesmaid at the one appointment then please call us to discuss this. We would recommend just focusing on one dress at a time but we completely understand that this isn’t always possible with arranging to get everyone together.

Do I need to bring anything?

We provide shoes to give you height in the dresses and we recommend you wear light coloured underwear so you don’t see it through any dresses. Lots of Mums comment on this!

Do I need to know what I want?

Absolutely not, if you don’t know what you like, or feel will suit you, don’t worry at all that is what we are here for. Some brides are very specific with what they envisage for their day, most people appreciate our advice. For your first appointment try and be open minded, try lots of different styles, you never know what you might like. We are here to help you and we will discuss the dresses with you and help you to narrow down your preferences.

Can I try on accessories?

Yes, we will encourage you to try on veils and head pieces to help you get a full picture of how you will look on your big day.

When should I start shopping for my dress?

You should be ordering your dress no later than 6 months before your wedding. It is quite usual to start shopping 10-12months before your wedding date. Our collections change twice a year so if your wedding is more that two years away call us to discuss your options.

What is the the latest time scale I can order my dress?

Dresses are made to order, so take around 3-4 months to be made, this includes bridesmaid dresses. It is preferred to have your dress arrive two months before your wedding so any alterations can be done in a timely manner to ensure your complete satisfaction. So ordering your dress no later than 6 months before your wedding is the preferred timescale.

What if I have less than 6 months till my wedding?

If your timescale is less than 6 months then don’t panic. We have sample dresses on sale all year round and most designers offer a rush order service with a reduced production time. There are still lots of options available for you, just pop in and see us to discuss this more.

Who should I bring?

It is important to bring people who’s opinion you rely on however it is very easy to get lost in a sea of opinions. At the end of the day this is your dress and you must love it. Friends and family are great to give opinions between dresses but have to remember this is your dress and your style, not theirs.

What if I change my mind?

lots of bride’s worry when coming back to be measured, or to have their first fitting, that they will have fallen out of love with their dress but once we put it back on you’ll be reminded exactly why you love it. Try not to worry, it is very common to worry about this.
